Blue Leaf

Shirt and Lapel Pin: H&M
Hat: eBay

Hey guys! Sorry for the late post, due to my recent health issue my doctor's recommendation is that I get two weeks vacation (which I gladly accepted! lol) so after this post I will be gone for another two weeks. I know, I know I've been slow on my posts lately but I need to take care of myself first so I can post more looks soon. I promise I wont take long. ^_^

So today I went a back on my dapper/dandy roots. Whenever its summer, I always make sure that I wear well coordinated looks with striking colors. Wore a nice suit with my current favorite DIY lapel pin (H&M) and wore a simple yellow and white stripped shirt (H&M). It may look too much for summer but it actually isn't. The trick is to always feel comfortable and if you think you'll pass out wearing a fully clothed outfit during this season, then dont. Save yourself from passing out! lol

Finished off with a pork pie hat I got online (eBay) that worked well with my suit and pair of boat shoes. Unfortunately I didn't have a nice experience shopping online this time as this item was shipped to me for 2 freaking months! I need to take seller ratings seriously next time.

While I'm on vacation you may still visit my Instagram page for more of my fun posts! Hopefully I'd be able to post my May-April OOTD vids which I am still unable to post.

Ill see you all in two weeks! :D

Reroute

Shirt: Zara

Hey guys! Sorry for being off the grid lately as some people who's following me on the Facebook know, I got ill for the past few weeks and days and I needed time to recover. But finally I'm back! And I'm so glad to be back!

I  don't really want to elaborate more on to what happened to me cause its not really what my blog is all about. Plus I don't want to scare any of you away! lol!

So we went back to Kahlifa Park the other day and we and we found these super cool race car bike you can rent to tour around the park.

We had tons of fun! You can rent one or a double bike (I dunno how its called). We got the single which you can rent for 30AED for 45mins which is a good enough time to tour around the park.

I didn't know that we were going to ride these bikes. Should I have known, I would have themed a look with it too. But I figured that whenever I go to Khalifa Park, my inner child is taking over me so I decided to wear another cute boy-next-door look.

Equipped with my Instax camera and cap to protect me from the heat I am off again to another fun day at the park! I'm wearing a nice summer print shirt (Zara), jeans, watch and a comfy pair of sneaks. Casual, comfy and still stylish.

This park for me is a gift that keeps on giving! I cant wait to do more looks here!

Oh and btw, to those people who replied on my FB with regards to my health condition, you guys are so sweet!!!! Thank you so much for wishing me well and again I'm glad to be back! ^_^

As The Sun Goes Down

Cap and Shorts: Zara
Shirt: G2000

Sun is out and its Music Festival season again!

Whatever music festival you are going to, its important to look fresh and feel comfortable while still being in style. Unfortunately, I've still yet to go on any music festivals but hopefully in the next few years I will be since I'm saving a lot for the past few months for travel.

Today I'm wearing a simple and comfortable look perfect for casually walking around the bay. I brought in a nice hat (Zara) and just a plain white polo shirt (G2000) and floral shorts (Zara). I've also added a couple of nice accessories and just a simple pair of loafers to complete the look.

Not much going on this week, hope yours is more exciting than mine! ^_^

A TRUE GENTLEMAN IS CONFIDENT

A True Gentleman is not afraid to be himself. He his always honest and straightforward and can express what he feels and his ideas freely without hurting or offending someone's feelings. He is always on his best foot forward.

He would always enter the room with his head up high and would never loose his posture while standing. He greets everyone with a warm and genuine smile.

He does not pretend to be someone and would not desperately try to fit in. He is very precise in terms of his needs and wants and would try his hardest to achieve them. He would always do his best in whatever tasks he was intrusted with weather its hard or not. He knows how to handle himself well even when he is in pain or having a hard time and would manage to compose himself in difficult situations.

He would treat anyone with respect. He would try not to contradict, but would find a way for an agreement. He would never put someone in jeopardy and would instead offer help when needed. He is truly someone you can confide with and someone you can completely trust.

One Summer Day

Lapel Pin: H&M + DIY
Bracelet: Born Pretty

Well people, UAE is back to normal weather. Its dusty, a bit humid and most of all, HOT!

But don't you dare put on a frown! The sun is up and shining and what does that mean? Beach, poop parties, summer music, sand sports, water sports, sun-bathing, light clothes, refreshing drinks, etc. That is what Summer is really about right?!

Technically we just reached the doors of Summer so its safe to say that you can still layer a bit. Although do not overdo it, this is definitely not the time to wear that scarf you bought from that end of season sale so save that for next winter.

Today I'm wearing a very easy to the eye yet very hard to miss look. I'm glad I could finally wear lighter colored clothes again! I've long forgotten my fear of Summer fashion since I started this blog and I think I can say that I'm very comfortable showing off my style now in any season.

To start off, I'm wearing a mint blue shirt underneath, yellow blazer and a summer printed shorts. Oh gosh I missed this blazer! I was just looking around my closet and when I saw this, it felt like it was saying to me: "Hey you! I need some sunlight! Show me around!" :D

I played a little bit more with colors wearing my DIY lapel pin, put on red bracelets for a little pop of color (Born Pretty) and finished off with a nice pair of oxfords.

Oh btw, guys I'm sure you have seen by now the What It Takes to Be a Gentleman series which is an exclusive three-part series in celebration of Daniel Wellington's new Dapper Watches!

DW: What It Takes to Be A True Gentleman (Part 1)

Being a Gentleman is not just being able to behave properly towards women or the elderly. What a Gentleman in the early 20's to the 60's is not necessarily the same in 2015. Now, its more of a lifestyle with a precise sets of virtue to follow and it is something that definitely cannot be taught overnight.

In this three part series, I'll let you in with a couple of things to know on how to become a True Gentleman.

A TRUE GENTLEMAN  IS ALWAYS ON TIME

A True Gentleman values his time. He is never late and tries his best to come early than the time he is expected to meet. He manages his time wisely and always think of something productive to do. He doesn't waste someone's time and make sure that he is properly prepared for the day and is ready whenever someone needs him.

He does not make commitments that he is sure he is not able to make but will give you an alternative and will tell you exactly when he will finish. He makes a precise schedule and makes sure that it is followed.

A True Gentleman should always have a Watch that would always keep him in time. It is the only piece of jewellery that is expected for a True Gentleman to wear aside from his wedding ring if he is married. A True Gentleman's Watch should be simple yet still exudes class and sophistication.

A Gentleman's outfit is never complete without a Watch.

So dear Gentlemen, let me present to you Daniel Wellington's new and exclusive Dapper Collection!

The Dapper Collection

It's the perfect watch for a True Gentleman. Light, simple, sophisticated and most of all It will definitely keep you in time.

Fun Express

Cap: Zara
Shirt and Jeans: Pull & Bear
Leather Bracelet: Bron Pretty

I had TONS of fun doing this shoot!

Khalifa Park has officially became my favorite place for my blog shoots! Its so amazing!

Before we go about the look let me tell you more about Kahlifa Park.

Khalifa park is very near The Grand Mosque and just beside Park Rotana Hotel. What I love about this place is that ITS SO BIG and so many things to see! Other fun fact is that there's not a lot of people especially during the weekend so its perfect for afternoon picnic with family or friends. Entrance fee is just 1.00Dhs per person (which is basically nothing).

One of my favorite part of this park is that it has its own functioning train with cute little train stations that will take you around the park and it even has its own train schedule! You do need to pay additional 2.00Dhs per person but you can use that ticket for the whole day. I feel like a child whenever I ride this train. Brings back a lot of childhood memories. :D

The train reminds me of the 90's theme park. So I decided to bring my inner child again and make a 90's boy inspired look with a couple of modern flair. I wore a cute printed shirt paired with skinny jeans (Pull and Bear). I also wore a nice pair of sneaks with fun colors to match the theme of this look.

Remember when visors with plastic puck were a thing in the 90's? Well I got a cap with a plastic puck (Zara). To complete this fun look, I added a couple more accessories like leather bracelets (Born Pretty) and a watch.

If you're living in Abu Dhabi and have nothing to do, invite your friends or family to visit Khalifa Park. Oh and don't forget to ride the train!

10 Long Sleeves Shirt = 2 Long Sleeves Shirt
5 Jeans = 2 Jeans

Back to Stripes

Shirt: Zara
Leather Bracelet: Born Pretty

For some unknown reason, whenever its spring or summer I go on a binge shopping spree of stripped shirts and sweaters. Its has become a default must have whenever the weather becomes warmer most probably because its so easy to style anything with it.

Wear it with shorts? It works. Jeans? Oh yeah it does! Chinos? Oh 'cmon! It's perfect!

Although its basic and safe its one of the easiest and most flattering type of print which is perfect for both Spring and Summer that's probably why you would always see stripes in the runway whenever on all S/S collections. Stripes are pretty much associated with warm weather as you see it everywhere on the beach.

However, if you cant go to the beach, who said you can't enjoy going to the park wearing stripes? I certainly didn't! I did another color blocking look with a stripe shirt (Zara) and comfy shorts. Wore a cool pair of Airmax to make it look a bit sporty yet casual. Brought in a few accessories with the sunglasses and leather bracelets (Born Pretty).

One tip to consider whenever you plan on wearing stripes is to not over accessorize especially during Summer. Just keep it minimal as there's already too much going on whenever you wear this kind of print. It will look like you're trying too hard to style if you go too overboard so make sure you keep it as low key as possible. Remember less is more.

10 Long Sleeves Shirt = 3 Long Sleeves Shirt

BTW, we did this shoot in Khalifa Park and I just realized that its been more than two years and I only talk about my what I wore every single week so I decided to do a short segment on my weekly posts that I will entitle:

What's with the odd spelling of Adventure you ask? Well AUH is actually the airport code of Abu Dhabi, like LAX for Los Angeles or DBX for Dubai. So I just played with the words a bit and with almost an hour of banging my head on the wall, I came up with this! ^_^

Lo's AUHventures< is something I will try to make a thing.... lol! just kidding! It would be about my short adventures here in Abu Dhabi featuring all sorts of thing from food to amazing locations to whatever I planned to do any given day of the week. I decided to do this for you guys to see that Abu Dhabi is amazing city that you should go visit! :D

We'll start this segment of my blog together with my weekly outfit posts and I may do separate blog posts if it turns out well.

So, whenever we shoot, me and my amazing photographer/BFF/cousin Kris will usually go to random places to eat and check out new places in Abu Dhabi after we finish taking photos so finally I've decided that its about time to share that experience with you guys.

This week we went to SALT!

Well I cant really tell where exactly SALT is because its a Food Truck that plays with you and you try to catch them on their next location every week. Last week, in celebration of the opening of Mushrif Park SALT went there to serve park visitors which became a very huge hit!

Me and my friend acutaully found SALT by accident when we went to Mushrif Park (More about Mushrif Park soon), we didn't ate there cause we saw there was a huge line and we were already too tiered so we decided to eat somewhere else. The next day I mentioned it with my other friend at work and told me that SALT is a very popular Food Truck business here in UAE that serves gourmet burger on the go.

I'm not gonna go too far but if you want to know more about what I'm talking about, find their instagram page or just search #findsalt.

So basically, you fall in line, they give you a set menu, you order and then pick up like any other restaurants. In my personal opinion, its all about the experience. I've never bought food on a food truck before so you can all imagine how excited I was.

We ordered the Hook Burgers, Cheetos: Chicken, Cheese Fries and Fire Fries (almost half of the menu! :D). Prices were okay, and I liked the Hook Burgers more than the Cheetos Chicken. It's typically like any other burger joint in the country like Shake Shack and Johnny Rockets. Like I said, it was really more about the experience.

I wouldn't go too far on how the food tasted so I would just do a short 5 star ratings breakdown:

Experience: ★★★★
Presentation: ★★★
Taste: ★★★
Price:  ★★★
Over all Rating: ★★★
Must Try: Fire Fries!!!

Hope you guys liked Lo's AUHventures<! Don't forget to share your ideas and comments with me through the comments section below! :D

Always have fun!
